Beta version could be better

I use translation tools such as Yahoo! Babel Fish and Google Translate pretty often, I have to confess that I used to prefer Yahoo over Google on this because Google Translate is yet to go final. A week ago I brought up an issue regarding the inaccuracy of the language translation service offered by Yahoo! Babel Fish. Somehow, this morning I tried Google Translate because Yahoo! Babel Fish failed to get certain words translated and for the sake of having fun, I wanted to see if Google could translate yahoo.com homepage into chinese language better than Yahoo does. As you can guess, the answer is yes and I couldn't find cheating service from Yahoo anymore.

PS: It is not that the Google Translate is under beta but it is the option for translating english to chinese which is still under beta.

Yes it does seems that google can translate slightly better than yahoo on yahoo home base. But it is best that we can translate it ourself, using our own skills rather than using some computer translation that can never have 100% perfect.

Here's what I like to do with Google Translate.

1. Translate English --> Language X (usually Chinese)
2. Translate the translated text --> English

Sometimes, you'll get very strange results. It can be hillarious.

be honest, i gave up on those online translation services years ago. none of them is good enough than your own brain. anyway, just a piece of my own opinion.

probably they need to put in more efforts in the A.I. part.
