When I was trying to publish all my old posts from Blogger.com to here (this site) via FTP, I got a java.net.SocketException saying that the operation had timed out. It probably caused by the large file size and slow transfer rate, but guess what? I wasn't at all getting upset, instead I'm happy to know that part of the Blogger.com (Google's product) is using Java.

The work around to get my export file ready to be imported into Serendipity was publishing as usual to Blogger.com (using the format specified by Serendipity) and save the entire html file.

PS: Serendipity is an open source web bloggin system which I'm using for this Weblog.
